An art exhibition showcasing the works of artist Yin Xiong opened at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) on May 27.
The event showcased Yin’s work from the past 10 years, including 25 oil paintings and sketches. With pictures depicting the snowy peak of Pamir Plateau, Jiangnan-style towns and old buildings, the exhibition provided passengers in the terminal with a visual feast while waiting for their flights.
PVG, as an international transport hub, has ramped up efforts to promote culture and art. It built an art gallery at Terminal 1 in 2016. Covering an area of over 100 square meters, the gallery is the first of its kind in China with a fixed exhibition area. It is open free all year round.
