Shanghai Pudong International Airport has been taking measures to ensure service quality in a time when enhanced health screening procedures are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Besides placing signs in different languages across its premises to help guide travelers, the airport has also stationed staff at various points to assist with their inquiries.

Passengers who are transiting in the airport can also reduce the time required to undergo these procedures by scanning the QR code of an online information registration system developed for them to report their health conditions.

Presently, all passengers arriving in Shanghai from locations outside of mainland China are required to undergo a 14-day quarantine. Those waiting to be transferred to designated quarantine places can rest on chairs that have been specially placed for such individuals. Hot water is also readily available at all hours.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai Airport ity has prepared disinfection products, power banks and instant food products.

A mobile phone luggage declaration service has also been launched for travelers who need to be sent directly to quarantine after landing. Airport staff will find the luggage that have been declared and deliver them to the doorsteps of the quarantine rooms.
